Edward Canfor-Dumas, Director

Edward is a co-founder of Engi and took the lead role in founding and running the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Conflict Issues 2006-16. In that time he has developed extensive relationships with the peace-building and conflict management sector, Parliamentarians, government, business, the military and the media.

Edward was the lead author and co-leader of the MCDC 'Understand to Prevent' initiative 2014-16, has lectured at the UK Defence Academy and is a member of the UK Chief of Defence Staff's Strategy Forum. He is also currently a member of the NATO Working Group on the Protection of Civilians.

A graduate of New College, Oxford, Edward has also authored three best-selling books on Buddhism and written numerous scripts for television. His award-winning credits include the worldwide BBC hits Pompeii: The Last Day (nominated for two BAFTAs) and Supervolcano
