Mohammed Bhabha started his career as an attorney practising in Evander in 1984. In 1991 Mohammed was part of the ANC negotiating team at Codesa and during the negotiations for the final South African Constitution. In 1994 he was appointed as a Senator in Parliament. He chaired the Select Committee on Constitutional Affairs and Public Administration. In 2001 he was appointed as an MEC in the Mpumalanga Cabinet. Mohammed is presently an Adviser to the Development Bank of South Africa. He is also an Adviser to the Ministry of Co-operative Government and Traditional Affairs. Mohammed sits on the Premier’s Economic Advisory Board of the North West Government and on the Board of the South African Forestry Company. He is also assisting in the constitution-making process of Kenya.
