Neophytos Loizides is a professor specialised in International Conflict Analysis at the University of Kent. His work focuses on institutional design in divided societies in particular power-sharing arrangements, land and citizenship disputes as well as mediation and negotiation processes. His current research examines novel approaches in peace processes emphasising in particular how institutional innovation and knowledge transfer facilitates conflict transformation in societies divided by deep ethnic, racial and religious divisions.  

He received his PhD at the University of Toronto and before joining Kent he has been a Lecturer at Queen's University Belfast between 2006 and 2011. He has been also a fellow at Harvard University and currently holds a fellowship at the Institute for Democracy and Conflict Resolution (IDCR) at the University of Essex.
